Recently chatted Actress, Celebrity Wellness and Lifestyle Expert and Founder of the top-rated wellness platform to better living
RE/SHAPE, Ali Landry about some of things we experience as we get older and how it’s never too late to take back our health. She shared with me some of her tips that include:
1. Flip the switch. To reshape our minds and achieve our most fulfilling lives, we need to flip the switch on negative thoughts. Let go of any area of your life that is no longer serving you. Spend quiet time with yourself to deeply evaluate each area of your life and write everything down. Categorize a list of things you are grateful for and what you’d like to reshape. Look to others for inspiration and guidance. Identify daily habits that will support your overall clear mindset like exercise, saying no to gossiping, and setting new routines.
2. Get rid of limitations. No dream is too crazy. Ali uses visualization to set her mind on something and creates a vision board with her goals. Detailed goal setting and writing down each small step are powerful ways to work toward a goal.
3. Turn to forgiveness. Spring clean the baggage of bitterness and heartbreak and live in the present moment. Create a roadmap with the resources you need to get from heartbreak to healing. The experience with tragedy can force you to view life as a one-chance opportunity to build something uniquely beautiful.
4. Declutter any part of you that doesn’t align with the best possible version of yourself. A soul reshape starts with taking inventory of how you move about the world. Ask yourself if you are seeking joy and fulfilling your purpose, or if you are going through the motions of life, afraid to make a splash and create a wave. Close your eyes and imagine the best possible version of yourself. That’s who you really are. Declutter any part of you that doesn’t align with this. Find other people who share similar interests to walk through life and share significant moments.
5. Clean up your health. Be an active warrior on your own health journey. Once you engage in your health by becoming a student of your own body, take your concerns and worries to the right doctor for you, whether it’s a traditional or functional doctor. You can start solving several of your issues and changing the quality of your health. Look to personalized supplementation, nutrition, meditation/prayer, or more to put your body back in a state of balance. Don’t give in to unhealthy dieting, but also don’t deprive yourself! Practice mindful eating by paying attention to your food on purpose, moment by moment, without judgment.
