- Madonna – On her 63rd birthday Monday, she announced a partnership with Warner that will see her entire catalog reissued, beginning in 2022, the 40thanniversary of her first single ‘Everybody’. Madonna will “personally curate expansive deluxe editions for many of her landmark albums”.
- Journey – has announced a 6-date Vegas residency. The group will play The Theater at Virgin Hotels Las Vegas between Dec. 1-11. Tickets go on sale this Friday.
- John Lennon — Rare live footage of him playing 1969 solo show days before he left the Beatles will be featured in the film “Rock & Roll Revival”. Lennon performed at the Toronto Rock & Roll Revival with a hastily assembled Plastic Ono Band, including his wife Yoko Ono and Eric Clapton. The 90-minute doc is expected to hit the film festival circuit next spring.
- Ringo Starr – will release the new EP “Change the World” on September 24. He shared that he has joined forces with “some new friends” for the record, including Linda Perry on ‘Coming Undone’, which she wrote, while ‘Rock Around The Clock’ features guitarist (and Ringo’s brother-in-law) Joe Walsh.
- Earth, Wind & Fire – have teamed up with producer Kenny “Babyface” Edmonds and singer-songwriter Lucky Dave for a reimagining of their hit ‘You Want My Love’ to celebrate the song’s 45th anniversary. Out August 20th.
