Mar: 16 – Prime Minister Justin Trudeau has announced that Canada will be shutting the border to non-Canadian citizens, with the exception of their immediate families, permanent residents, diplomats, air crews, and U.S. citizens at this time.
Starting March 18th, only 4 airports will have international flights: Toronto, Montreal, Vancouver and Calgary
Anyone who has symptoms of COVID-19 will not be able to enter Canada.
* All groups larger than 50 banned in BC.
*Casinos to be closed.
* Elective surgeries cancelled.
* All non-essential services in Vancouver are suspended.
* There will be an announcement regarding schools tomorrow morning.
Health Minister Adrian Dix to Americans:
“Visitors from the United states, do not come to British Columbia. DON’T COME. At this moment, that is not the right thing to do.”
March 17th – Elementary and secondary schools in British Columbia will remain closed indefinitely at the end of spring break because of the coronavirus that causes COVID-19.

-CIBC is temporarily closing 206 of its branches as of tomorrow because of COVID-19. The bank says 816 of its locations will remain open, but operate under modified hours.
-Cineplex is temporarily closing all 165 of its theatres across Canada beginning tonight.
