The BC Centre for Disease Control says there has been a possible exposure of COVID-19 on a WestJet flight into Kamloops.
It says someone on board WestJet flight 3111 from Calgary to Kamloops on Monday, Feb. 1 tested positive for the virus. This comes after someone on board that same flight on Jan. 26 tested positive for the virus.
The BC CDC says passengers in rows 12 through 18 are a higher risk of infection, and passengers are being asked to self-monitor and get tested for COVID-19 if symptoms begin to develop.
You can take the COVID-19 self assessment test here. To book a test, you’re asked to call your primary care provider or the closest Interior Health community testing and assessment centre.
This is the eleventh flight overall in or out of Kamloops that has had an exposure reported. Ten of the flights that have been flagged landed in Kamloops with just one leaving Kamloops for Vancouver.
You’ll find a full list of all domestic travel-related COVID-19 exposures on the BC CDC website.
