
School District 73 is reporting a fourth COVID-19 exposure at Sa-Hali Secondary in Kamloops in the past two weeks.
A letter from Principal Rachael Sdoutz sent to parents on Jan. 31 informed them of the exposure which happened on three days last week, Jan. 26, 27, and 28.
This exposure is in addition to others at the school on Jan. 25 and 26, one on Jan. 25, and the first on Jan. 18, 19, and 20.
Parents at Westsyde Secondary were also sent a letter from Principal Chris Preymak after an exposure at the school on two days last week, Jan. 27 and 28. It is the second exposure at Westsyde Secondary after one last November.
In each of these cases, parents have been assured that contact tracing to find potential close contacts is underway, and that it is safe for their children to go to school as normal, if they don’t hear from Interior Health.

There have now been COVID-19 exposures reported at 15 schools across the School District 73 this school year – and thirteen schools have seen exposures this semester.
As of publishing, Interior Health says there are active exposures at Marion Schilling Elementary, Sa-Hali Secondary, Valleyview Secondary, Westsyde Secondary, Summit Elementary, Beattie Elementary, NorKam Secondary, and Aberdeen Elementary.
