So there is now a Telsa roadster on the way to Mars playing David Bowie. Seriously, there really is. Elon Musk and his SpaceX rocket company today successfully launched the first Falcon Heavy rocket. This is the rocket Musk hopes to use to help settle Mars. And he wanted to make today’s test launch special. So when the rocket got into orbit, just for fun, it shot off a Telsa roadster car, complete with a dummy wearing a space suit in the front seat. The car is now off on a trajectory toward Mars and will drift forever thru space. And playing on the radio of that Telsa is David Bowie’s Space Oddity. Space X made this video simulation of what happened today. It means that one day, some aliens may find this car…and hear the song. Bowie’s legacy will truly live on for ever!
