It appears the X-files will not be back to shoot any more episodes in Vancouver, because the X-files won’t be back period! Gillian Anderson, who has played FBI agent Dana Skully on the show since 1993, said this to the Hollywood Reporter:
“It’s time for me to hang up Scully’s hat. It just is. I’m finished, and that’s the end of that.”
Anderson says it’s time to move on and take her career in a different direction. Commenting on the end of the series co-star, David Duchovny, says he’s “good either way”.
So it appears the X-files is finally over. Or is it? What do you bet in a couple of years there will be an #X-files: Next Generation”?
