9. 1972 – Paul Henderson scores in Canada-Soviet hockey series.
10. 1917 – Canada’s decisive and hard fought victory at Vimy Ridge
11. 1917, BC women got the right to vote in provincial elections
12. 1965, The Canadian Flag was born on February 15, 1965, now celebrated annually as National Flag of Canada Day.
13. 1993 – Kim Campbell became Canada’s first female prime minister
14. 1916 – Building of the Kettle Valley Railroad
15. 2015 – Justin Trudeau was elected Prime Minister
16. 1981 – Canadarm reaches into space for the first time
17. 1969 – The Caesar was invented by restaurant manager Walter Chell of the Calgary Inn (today the Westin Hotel) in Calgary, Alberta
18. 1944 – Canada was a full partner in the success of the Allied landings in Normandy (‘D- Day’)
19. 1916 – Manitoba women became the first in Canada to win both the right to vote and to hold provincial office
20. 1904 – Canadian pharmacist and manufacturer, John James McLaughlin created “Canada Dry Pale Ginger Ale”.
