Check out this picture. That’s a bunch of Albertans last year setting the record for the largest ‘human maple leaf”. They got 970 people to take part. Now imagine a human flag even bigger. So big in fact you could see it from downtown Vancouver, just by looking up.
That’s the plan for Canada Day up at Grouse Mountain. They are hoping to celebrate the country’s 150th birthday by setting the Guinness world record for largest human maple leaf at the top of the cut, for all of Vancouver to see. All you have to do is wear red, head up to Grouse on July 1st by 1pm and follow the signs when you get off the skyride. There’s more info here on Grouse Mountain’s website.
